She’s not letting Apollo get one red cent!
Phaedra Parks is fighting tooth and nail to enforce her pre-nup with her currently incarcerated husband, even though a judge poked some pretty massive holes in that agreement just a month ago.
Alright, let’s back up. Last month, a judge tossed out Phaedra’s initial divorce judgment because it was unfair to Apollo. There were more than a few sketchy items that forced the decision; for one, Phaedra had intentionally misspelled people’s names, which could have been a ploy to screw them over even more.
On top of that, Apollo had been led to believe that he could attend divorce hearings, even though he was in jail. That was never going to be the case – you can’t just leave jail because your wife’s pissed off -- but it looks like that’s what Phaedra’s team told him.
Long story short, the judge called B.S. on Phaedra. But now, she’s insisting at least one part of her pre-nup be enforced: alimony.
According to the document, signed 9 days before their wedding, neither party is entitled to “spousal support” if they split up. Which, given Apollo’s current legal situation, is terrible for him, since it means Phaedra would be off the hook for helping with his legal bills.
What’s more, Phaedra points out that his individual wealth has gotten crushed due to recent troubles (Apollo’s been convicted on money fraud), so why should she have to foot the bill?
This is going to take a while to sort out!
